Susan Weikel Morrison taught K-8 and adult students as a bilingual English Language specialist for over 35 years. She also was a science and gifted program coordinator..
After retiring, Susan served as an Education Program Specialist at Challenger Learning Center/Castle Science and Technology Center in Atwater, California. She coordinated and facilitated a NASA grant-funded GEMS Space Sciences program taught in over 40 fifth and eighth grade classes in Merced County. She also created numerous Space, Earth, and Life Sciences hands-on museum exhibits. After the center closed in 2012, Susan facilitated distribution of its science exhibits to six San Joaquin Valley museums.
As an Ambassador, she continues creating hands-on exhibits highlighting NASA's space exploration activities at museums, manages handouts and displays at the NASA Educator Resource Center at California State University, Fresno,, teaches classes about the planets, galaxies, space
exploration, and, writes about NASA's accomplishments for her local newspaper.
