David Farina is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with an M.A. of Geosciences degree and Bachelors in Secondary Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He is currently employed by the Manheim Township School District in Lancaster as a high school science teacher and has held this position since 2008. Over the course of his tenure at Manheim Township High School, David has had the privilege of teaching many different science courses: Geology, Oceanography/Meteorology, Physical Science, and Environment and Ecology.
He also is the Planetarium Director for the school district and advisor to the MTHS Astronomy Club who meet bi-weekly and conduct community outreach in the form of star parties and planetarium shows for the public.
In addition to his professional teaching career, David also enjoys astronomy as a hobby and is President of the Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County (AELC).
