Jon Andrews is a non-traditional graduate student studying Earth Science at Western Michigan University. He has always been interested in earth and space science, even from a young age. After graduating high school, he kept a close eye on space science while in college, while his major transitioned anywhere from sociology to pre-medicine. In 2000 he received his Associates in Earth Science. It was then he decided to put some miles under his shoes and see the world. The world ended up being Shepherd, Michigan where he was an alternative education paraprofessional for eight years.
In 2012 he chose to finish his formal education and get his bachelor's degree in environmental geology.
Now he lives in Kalamazoo, MI with his pet Beta fish, Gandalf the Blue, as he strives towards a terminal degree with a MA in Earth Science
