Michael Harrigan is currently a Strategy Instructor at the US Air Force Warfare Center Command and Control Wing teaching strategic planning. For almost 23 years he was a Space Operations Officer for the United States Air Force in various locations around the world to include the Space Control Center in Cheyenne Mountain, CO. He was responsible for tracking all objects in orbit around Earth and ensuring the safety of manned space flight including the Space Shuttle program and the International Space Station.
Michael earned his Masters of Science in Military Operational Art from Air University and a Bachelor of Science in Government from Texas A&M University – Central Texas. His interest in space exploration came from exploring the Johnson Space Center on the 25th Anniversary of the moon landing and meeting Buzz Aldrin. The naturally curiosity of man to explore the unknown is what motivates him to learn as much as possible about space exploration and share that knowledge with the next generation of scientists, doctors, and astronauts.
