Biographical Information:

Ekaterina Michonova graduated from Sofia University in Bulgaria with a M.S. and A.B.D. in Physics. She worked as a research associate at the Institute of Biophysics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

After spending a year in Japan, she relocated to New York in 1995. In 2002 she received her Ph.D. in Biophysics from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University. She is currently teaching Physics and Astronomy at Erskine College in South Carolina.
