Brandon Beard teaches in a small Yup'ik Eskimo village on the Bering Sea called Koltik. He currently teaches third grade as well as high school electrical engineering. He is proud to have been part of the first live video uplink from classroom to ISS and has coordinated experiments from the classroom.
Brandon has been teaching all levels of students for 10 years now and is an experienced curriculum developer. He has M.A. degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education and Counseling Psychology. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Administration.
Brandon loves teaching native students in Alaska...especially during the winter as he is able to take his class outside during the day and have wonderful (if not chilly) astronomy lessons!
